Songs by Making Waves Youth:

Writin’ rhymes 3 at a time,
My mind goes crazy on every new line.
Can’t stop writin’ can’t stop rappin’,
If I don’t stop soon, the worst will happen.
All new things, all new faces,
But it’s cool though, no one’s racist.
Woke up cold ran out hot,
Gotta get to the lunch line for a good spot.
I came for pain, I came for the gain,
I’ve seen too much I hurt my brain.
I can stop watchin’ but I can’t stop listenin,’
Even when it sounds like they’re only whisperin’.
Because of the things I write and the things I say,
I’ve been held accountable for Makin’ Waves.

In the weekend they talked of love
Teaching us how to rise above abuse
Resembling a cheap game show
Now do you believe in mind control
That each gender has but one role
If the media tells you so
Cause we’re not in 1954
And we know better than we did before
Women aren’t delicate flowers
Men don’t deserve all the power
To the lonely teen blue-wannabe
Be happy with your acne
and your awkward knees
You’re the only one you have to please
I learned that at Making Waves
