The Waves Team

We are very fortunate to have a dedicated and talented group of people working with us as facilitators and team members. These individuals assist in the development, planning and delivery of workshops and community events and support the various projects we are involved in.

Student Advisory Committee/Comité Avisoire Francophone d’Élèves (SAC/CAFÉ)

Since 1998, our Student Advisory Committee/Comité Avisoire Francophone d’Élèves has represented the voices of youth throughout New Brunswick. Each year, new members are peer-selected to join the team. SAC/CAFÉ members take on a variety of roles within our organization and guide our programs to ensure we are relevant to the youth community. They are leaders and role models, working with us to educate and raise awareness of relationship violence issues. They motivate and empower their peers to make a difference in their schools and in their communities. Check out the photos below to see some past SAC/CAFE teams!

Alumni Committee

The Alumni Committee provides an opportunity for SAC/CAFÉ members to continue their involvement with our organization beyond high school graduation. These young men and women support our programs in a variety of ways: helping out at Community Events, fundraising, supporting the SAC/CAFÉ, reviewing new materials and working on special projects. One Alumni member has even become the Treasurer of our Board of Directors!

Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors is a dedicated group of volunteers who commit their time, hard work and support to the Making Waves/Vague par vague vision of a future in which violence is not tolerated. These individuals come from a variety of backgrounds, each providing a unique expertise.
